Process Engineering

Undertake engineering scoping studies which can involve metallurgical testwork, process flowsheet development, mass & energy balances, plant layouts, major equipment sizing & specification, preliminary capital and operating cost estimates.

Following on from the preliminary engineering studies, Malachite Consulting provides experienced management services for the prefeasibility and bankable feasibility studies which would then lead into the FEED, EPCM and commissioning phases of the project.

Front-end Engineering Design (FEED) is typically undertaken after the three Front-end Loading (FEL) stages have been completed. FEL1 represents the scoping study, FEL2 the prefeasibility study and FEL3 the feasibility study. The FEL3 is often when Bankable Feasibility Study is completed and where project finance is sought for plant construction.

For each FEL stage, typical deliverables are listed below:

FEL 1 FEL 2 FEL 3
