Malachite Consulting has been providing technical advice for a major copper gold smelter and refinery which is to be constructed in Indonesia.

The technical advice has included smelting technology reviews, selection of preferred smelting routes, process modelling using MetSim, downstream electrorefining of copper and precious metals refining. The project is advancing from early days scoping studies though to feasibility studies, with the aim to commence FEED engineering in 2018.
